Bam Ganotantrik Jote
A rally organised by Bam Ganotantrik Jote was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club in protest against price spiral of the essential commodities including rice and onion. In the programme held recently the speakers said the businessmen have increased the price of onion through syndicate. They demanded to reduce the price of rice and onion immediately. The function was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Communist Party of Bangladesh Mohammad Shah Alam, General Secretary of Biplabi Workers Party Saiful Haque, Member of the Central Committee of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal Rajekuzzaman Ratan and General Secretary of Ganotantrik Biplabi Party Moshrefa Mishu. The speakers also demanded exemplary punishment to those involved in increasing price of essential commodities through syndicate. Coordinator of the alliance Abdullah Kafi Ratan presided over the event.
Shaheed Col Jamil Smrity Sangsad
Introductory meeting of newly formed Shaheed Colonel Jamil Smrity Sangsad was held at the auditorium of Zila Shilpakala Academy in Jashore on Tuesday. President of the Sangsad Freedom Fighter Afjal Hossain Dodul presided over the function. Daughters of Colonel Jamil, Tania Enayet Tanu and Jasmine Jamil Kangkon were present as special guests. General Secretary of the Sangsad Sajjad Goni Khan Rimon delivered the welcome speech. Vice-President of the Sangsad Sahabuddin Alam, Joint General Secretary Pronab Das, Office Secretary Salman Hasan Rajib, Youth and Sports Secretary Nur Imam Babul and Treasurer Mijanur Rahman Swapon were present, among others, on the occasion.
