Bangladesh Hawkers Union
A rally organised by Bangladesh Hawkers Union was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Sunday demanding exemplary punishment to the killer(s) of Zannati Akhter, a housewife and grand daughter of freedom fighter Sirajul Islam Khan of Hazipur in Narsingdi district. The function was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Bangladesh Hawkrs Union Sekendar Hayat, Chairman of Muktijoddha Samonnaya Command Council Syed Aftabul Alam Hye, President of Muktijoddha Command Council Nasim Siraj Rudra, Vice-President of Krishalk League MA Wadud, Entrepreneur of Distressed Women’s Welfare Sania Khan and General Secretary of Muktijoddha Command Council Himangsu Biswas. Joint Secretary General of Muktijoddha Samonnaya Parishad Tariquzzaman Reza presided over the event. The speakers also demanded to try the trial of Zannati killing case under Speedy Trial Tribunal.
