Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh organised a workshop on ‘Professional Progression in a Digital Era’ at TCB Bhaban, KawranBazar in the city on Saturday. Muzaffar Ahmed FCMA, FCS, Session Chairman and President of ICSB presided over the workshop, delivered the address of welcome and summed up the session. He focused on the need of the members of ICSB to keep them abreast of the changes taking place in both social and corporate arena and to update their knowledge on the requirement of the changing role of the Corporate secretaries. Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, MD & CEO of RobiAxiata Ltd presented the keynote paper. Chartered Secretaries must therefore prepare for disruptive changes in technology, by continuously refining their strategic role in governance, compliance and management. Md. Selim Reza FCS, Vice President, ICSB and Mr. Md. ShafiqulAlam FCMA, FCA, ACS, Council Member, ICSB were the designated discussant. At the end of the programme , Salim Ahmed FCS, Council Member and Treasurer, ICSB offered a vote of thanks on behalf of ICSB.
Daffodil International University
The 18th AUPF-2019 was ended yesterday with colorful closing ceremony at Daffodil International University permanent campus at Ashulia in Savar . Prof Dr Kazi Shahidullah, Chairman , University Grants Commission of Bangladesh was present at the closing ceremony as Chief Guest. Presided over by Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, the programme was also presented by Dr G Viswanathan, founder and Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology in India (VIT), Dr Jekuk Chang, President, Dongseo University, South Korea, Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, VC of DIU, Prof Dr S M Mahabub- Ul- Haque Majumder, Convener, AUPF 2019 and Pro- VC , DIU, vice chancellors from different universities and 150 presidents, rectors and VCs from 40 universities from Asian 15 countries attended the programme. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan handed over the AUPF flag to Dr. G. Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology in India (VIT), the next hosting university of AUPF 2010. Beside this 64 MoU regarding student and faculty exchange, technology transfer, PhD scholarship and mutual cooperation have been signed among different universities. While addressing as Chief Guest Prof Dr. Kazi Shahidullah said , the theme of AUPF-2019 is very time befitting. Founder and Chancellor of Vellore Institute of Technology in India (VIT)- next host of AUF-2020.
