Jago Bangladesh Garments Sramik Federation
A press conference organised by Jago Bangladesh Garments Sramik Federation was held in Comrade Nirmal Sen Auditorium in the city’s Topkhana Road on Wednesday. In the programme the leaders of the federation demanded adequate compensation to the families of the victims of the fire incident of Tazrin Fashion Limited. They also demanded rehabilitation for the victims of the fire incident. The function was addressed, among others, by the convener of the federation Baharane Sultan Bahar, affected employees of Tazrin Fashion Limited and other leaders of the organisation.
Down Syndrome Society of Bangladesh
A seminar with a view to raising Down Syndrome Awareness organised jointly by Down Syndrome Society of Bangladesh, DU Communication Disorder Department, Japan Bangladesh Friendship Hospital (JBFH) and the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia, Bangladesh was held at R.C Majumder Auditorium of the Dhaka University. In the programme held recently the speakers said “Down syndrome was not a disease rather a genetic disorder and people suffering from it should be treated with extra care and compassion”. A rally was brought out on DU camps marking the programme where children, teachers, parents with Down syndrome took part. Communication Disorder Chairman Hakim Arif presided over the event.The function was addressed, among others, by DSSB Chairman Sardar A Razzak, JBFH Chairman Sardar A Nayeem and Managing Director of Neuro-Developmental Disabilities Protection Trust Moshiur Rahman.
