Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra Union formed human chains in front of Deputy Commissioners’ offices in different districts to realize its five-point demands including ensuring of autonomous in all public universities and jobs after the end of education. The districts included Dhaka, Mymensingh, Moulvibazar, Sylhet, Gazipur, Manikkganj, Barishal, Pirojpur, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Lalmonirhat and Faridpur. In a joint statement issued on Sunday, President and General Secretaryof Bangladesh Chhatra Union Kendriya Sangsad Mehedi Hasan Nobel and Anik Roy said that different irregularities have been prevailing in education sector. We demand to eradicate these irregularities immediately for the greater interest of the future generation and nation. “We are going to students serially in different districts of the country and told them about problems. We are optimistic to realise our demands through movement”, they added.
