Bangladesh Women Journalist Forum
Leaders of Bangladesh Women Journalist Forum in a condolence message on Monday expressed condolence over the death of distinguished woman journalist Dil Monowara Monu. She (Dil Monowara) played key role in progress of the women in journalism profession. Monu started her career in journalism in 1974 as a sub-editor with ‘Begum’ magazine edited by Begum Sufia Kamal and Nurjahan Begum. She was a contributor of the “Bijoyinee”, the quarterly magazine, published by the forum. She was active in various organizations including Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, Kochi Kanchar Mela and Nari Sangbadik Kendra. The forum leaders prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of the deceased journalist. The leaders of the forum also extended profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
