Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan
Installation ceremony of Rotary Club of Dhaka Cosmopolitan was held in the city. Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Md Muslim Chowdhury was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. The function was also addressed, among others,by Rotary Governor (elect) Md Rubayiat Hossain, Deputy Governor Abul Khair Chowdhury, Club President Sawdesh Debnath, Secretary Iqbal Mahmood, Rotary leaders Rakib Sarder, Abdus Salek, Saiful Huq Mintu, Tofajjal Hossain, Hosne Ara Poly.
Bangladesh Karmachari Kalyan Board
A discussion marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organised by Bangladesh Karmachari Kalyan Board was held at Women Technical Training Centre in the city’s Motijheel. State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Friday. While speaking Farhad said Bangabandhu never compromised with injustice and corruption and he had dreamt of building an exploitation-free country. “Being imbued with the ideology of Bangabandhu, we will have to work for the welfare of the people,” he said. He called upon the government employees to stay uncompromising against injustice and corruption to accelerate the pace of development. Director General of the Board Satya Brata Saha presided over the event.
