Utsargo Foundation, Bangladesh
A discussion organised by Utsargo Foundation, Bangladesh was held at Bangladesh Shishu Academy in the city on Friday. Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed was present as the chief guest in the programme. While speaking Nuruzzaman said future generation must be worthy citizens to establish ‘Golden Bangla’ as dreamt by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The event was also addressed, among others, by noted journalist and columnist Syed Abul Maksud, Chairman of the organisation Imrul Kayes and its General Secretary Tanjina Khan. The minister hoped that the organisation would play due role to enlighten the new generation. Chief Adviser of the foundation Shamsul Haque Tuku presided over the function.
Bangabandhu Diploma Krishibid Parishad
A discussion marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organised by Bangabandhu Diploma Krishibid Parishad was held at AKM Giasuddin Milki Auditorium, Khamarbari in the city. Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Razzaque said the masterminds behind the killings of Bangabandhu and most of his family members should be brought to justice. The minister said the anti-liberation forces carried out grenade attacks on an Awami League’s rally on August 21 in 2004 to kill the then leader of the opposition Sheikh Hasina aiming to make AL leaderless. President of the parishad Mohammad Ali presided over the event.
