Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal and Communist Party of Bangladesh have jointly declared ‘Resistance Month’ from July 15 to August 14. In a statement on Tuesday the leaders of the organisations have called upon all irrespective of party affiliation to forge greater movement against secret series killings, extremism and attack on religious minorities all over the country. They also urged all to resist conspiracies hatched by home and abroad against country.
Jatiya Ganotantrik League
A human chain organised by Jatiya Ganotantrik League was formed in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Tuesday. Former Minister and Publicity and Publication Secretary of the Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest. While speaking Hasan said the latest terrorist attacks and secret killings are the new edition of the petrol bomb attacks made in the past. Highlighting different secret killings including the terrorist attacks unleashed at Gulshan and Solakhia, Hasan said “Begum Khaleda Zia is the sole beneficiary of these terrorist attacks.” The programme was also was addressed, among others, by Assistant Secretary of the Awami League sub-committee M A Karim and Advocate Balaram Poddar, General Secretary of Bangabanhdu Sangskrit Jote Arun Sarker Rana. Chairman of the organisation M A Jalil presided over the event.
