Left Democratic Alliance
A walkathon organised by Left Democratic Alliance was brought out from the city’s Purana Palton with a view to raising mass awareness against dengue. The rally which was brought our recently paraded different parts of the city including Bijoynagar, Kakrail, Shantinagar Bazar, Malibag intersection and Segunbagicha. In the programme leaflets on eradicating aedes mosquitoes and cleanliness programme were distributed among the commuters. The function was participated, among others, by Presidium Member of Communist Party of Bangladesh Abdullah Kafi Ratan and Member of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal Bazlur Rashid Firoj and other leaders and activists of the alliance. In the function the leaders of the alliance called upon all to make cleanliness campaign in all their respective areas with a view to destroying aedes larvae to prevent dengue. They also urged the authorities concerned of Dhaka city corporations to adopt necessary steps to prevent dengue fever.
