Bangamata Parishad
A discussion on the 89th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib organised by Bangamata Parishad was held at Zahur Hossain Hall of the Jatiya Press Club. In the programme held on Thursday the speakers recalled the contribution of Bangamata. They said Bangamata inspired Bangabandhu to obtain success in all works despite holding no political designation. Her contributions will be remembered forever, they added. The function was addressed, among others, by Presidium Members of Awami League Matia Chowdhury, MP and Advocate Sahara Khatun, MP. Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University and also Vice-President of the parishad Prof Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique presided over the event.

Bangladesh Computer Council
An agreement to develop a website named www.mujib100.gov.bd was signed by Bangladesh Computer Council and renowned agency Mighty Byte marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Secretary of the council Mizanur Rahman Miju and Mighty Byte Managing Director Sarah Ali recently signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization at the
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division’s conference room at Agragaon in the city. Speaking on the occasion, State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the Mujib100 website will be one of the main features in celebration of ‘Mujib Year’, as it will provide detailed information on the life and works of Bangabandhu. The function was also attended, among others, by ICT Division Secretary NM Ziaul Alam and high officials concerned.
