National Debate Federation
A debate training workshop organied by National Debate Federation was held at Government Nurunnahar Women College in Jhenidah. The slogan of the debate workshop was ‘Shono, Zukti Amar Sowndarja’ (Listen, Logic is My Beauty). Principal of the college Prof. Monirul Alam inaugurated the workshop on the third instant. Teachers, students of the college and officials of the federation were present. About 150 students of the college took part in the workshop. While speaking the speakers called upon all specially students to participate in any type of debate competition with a view to spreading knowledge.
National Human Rights Movement
A seminar on ‘Deterioration of Law & Order and Human Rights: On Which Way Bangladesh?’ organised by National Human Rights Movement was held in Maulana Akram Khan Hall of the Jatiya Press Club. In the programme held recently the speakers said the law and order situation has been deteriorated immensely in the country now. Founder and also Chairman of the organisation Mahmudul Hasan presided over the event. The speakers also called upon all to be united against the mass lynching, rape and forced disappearances for the greater interest of the nation.
