Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote
A discussion organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held at Dhaka City South AL’s office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue. Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Hasan said BNP Chief Begum Khaleda Zia was the biggest beneficiary of the killing of BNP founder Ziaur Rahman. He said after the killing of Ziaur Rahman, his wife Begum Khaled Zia became Chairperson of BNP and served as Prime Minister of the country twice. “Why didn’t BNP try the killing of Ziaur Rahman? Khaleda Zia was premier twice. Why she did not file a case for the killing of Zia and did not run the case?” he questioned. The function was also addressed, among others, by former Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam, Dhaka City South AL General Secretary Shahe Alam Murad and General Secretary of the organisation Arun Sarker Rana. Vice-President of the organisation Rafiqul Alam presided over the event.
