WetSkills Foundation

WetSkills Foundation and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology organised skill development workshop and challenge for the first time in Bangladesh in cooperation with CORE Bangladesh project partners BUET, IHE Delft and HKV Consultants and some SMEs, says a press release. In this water related skill development workshop and challenge, 4 international students from Surinam, Taiwan and Netherlands and 15 Bangladeshi students participated under supervision of two supervisors, Ioana Dobrescu from Romania and Nynke Schap from Netherlands. This workshop and challenge was organised in two different site Sirajganj and Dhaka from June 30 ,,2019 to July 12, 2019 where the participants studied the case in the field and solved the cases. Along with the field study a poster presentation, a pitch presentation and a technical report was presented by each group by which the jury board awarded one case winner. Ashik Iqbal, AK Azad, Tashfiq Ahmed from BUET, Bangladesh and Saskia van Otterloo from Leiden University and Sydney University, Netherlands won the case competition solving the issues about Flood Proofing Sanitation.

Zaker Party Chairman Mostafa Amir Faisal yesterday expressed deep grief and condolences at the death of former President and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad. He prayed for the salvation of the departed soul of the former president, and conveyed deepest sympathies and commiseration for the bereaved family members, relations, well-wishers, and for all leaders, workers and supporters of Jatiya Party. Canadian University of Bangladesh

Academic Council and Syndicate meeting of Canadian University of Bangladesh were held at its Banani Campus on Saturday . Dr Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Chairman and Board of Trustees, Canadian University of Bangladesh, Prof M.A. Arafat, Chief Advisor, Shahnul Hasan Khan, Executive Chairman, Prof Mahbubur Rahman, Syndicate Member, Nominated by UGC, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Nazrul Islam, Pro -VC and Mr. Bahauddin Muhammad Isa, Acting Registrar were present. Members of Academic Council, Canadian University of Bangladesh discussed different issues and a number of important decisions were made to ensure the quality education and to enroll quality students at the university, says a press release.
