Ninth BCS Forum
A seminar on ‘Good Governance and National Development’ organised jointly by Ninth BCS Forum and JICA Bangladesh was held at the Officers’ Club in the city. Prime Minister’s International Relation Affairs Adviser Professor Dr Gowher Rizvi was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Gowher said a transparent and accountable administrative management can take the country forward. “The government has taken a ‘zero tolerance policy’ against corruption alongside accountable administrative management. Political commitment is a must for taking the country forward, which the government of Sheikh Hasina has,” he added. The function was also addressed, among others, by Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam. and Chief Representative of JICA Bangladesh Hitoshi Hirata. President of the forum Tofazzal Hossain Miah presided over the event.
