Swadhinata Officers Welfare Assoc
A discussion and doa mahfil marking the 15th martyrdom anniversary of Ahsanullah Master organised by Swadhinata Officers Welfare Association was held at the conference room of the Department of Youth Development in the city’s Motijheel on Monday. In the programme former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique was present as the main speaker. While speaking Arefin called upon the new generation to follow the life and works of veteran politician and labour leader Ahsanullah Master to work for the welfare of people. “Ahsanullah Master had devoted his life for the country’s welfare. From a teacher, he turned himself into a people’s representative from grassroots. His leadership and humanitarian qualities will always remain as a source of inspiration for the new generation,” he said. The function was also attended, among others, by State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel. DG of Department of Youth Development Farouqe Ahmed presided over the event.
