Bangladesh Hawkers Sramajibi Parishad
An opinion sharing meeting between the leaders of Bangladesh Hawkers Sramajibi Parishad and Bangladesh Chhinnamul Hawkers Samity was held at the office of Bangladesh Chhinnamul Hawkers Samity in the city on the fourth instant In the programme the speakers demanded to rehabilitate the hawkers before their eviction. They also demanded to execute the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to solve the ongoing problems of the hawkers. The function was addressed, among others, by President of the parishad Ali Mortoza, its Senior Vice-President Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Badal, Vice-President Kamal Hossain, General Secretary MA Khaer and Office Secretary Abdul Awal.
Hepatology Society, Bangladesh
A scientific seminar on clinical practice guideline for management of anti-HBc positive patients of Bangladesh organised by Hepatology Society, Bangladesh was held at a hotel in the city. In the programme held recently the speakers called for maintaining maximum caution in drinking water, citing risks of outbreak of jaundice by the contamination of Hepatitis-E virus. President of the society Professor Mobin Khan presided over the event. The function was addressed, among others, by Associate Professor of BIRDEM Hospital Dr Gholam Azam, Liver Specialists of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Dr Saiful Islam Elin and Dr Md Shahinul Alam read out the key note papers at the seminar.
