Imarat Nirman Sramik Union Bangladesh
A rally and discussion organised by Imarat Nirman Sramik Union Bangladesh (INSUB) was held in front of Jibon Bima Tower in the city’s Motijheel on the occasion of historic May Day. In the programme held on Wednesday the speakers called upon all working class people to forge greater movement to establish their rights. Without movement no demand is not realized, the speakers added. The function was addressed, among others, by Rashed Khan Menon, MP, Advisory Council Member of Bangladesh Awami League Mozaffar Hossain Paltu, General Secretary of Bangladesh Trade Union Kendra Dr Wazedul Islam Khan, General Secretary of INSUB Abdur Razzak. President of the organisation Rabiul Islam presided over the event.
Bangladesh Juba Union
A rally organised by Bangladesh Juba Union, Palton thana unit was held in Purana Palton intersection in the city. In the programme held recently the leaders of the union bitterly criticisesd the eviction of hawkers from the city’s footpath. They demanded to rehabilitate hawkers before eviction. General Secretary of Palton thana Juba Union Noor-e-Alam Shahin Bhuiyan presided over the function. The event was addressed, among others, by President of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Palton thana unit Murshiqul Islam Shimul, Central leader of Juba Union Khan Asaduzzaman Masum, Vice-President of Hawkers Union Abul Kalam and President of Juba Union, Dhaka Mahanagar Committee Habib Emon.
