Swadhinata Forum
A rally organised by Swadhinata Forum, Central Committee was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city on Monday. In the programme the speakers demanded unconditional release of BNP Chief Begum Khaleda Zia and stopping political conspiracy against Tarique Rahman. The function was addressed, among others, by BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Khondkar Mosharraf Hossain, former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka Universatiy Prof Dr. Emajuddin Ahmed and Joint Secretary General of BNP Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal. President of the forum and BNP’s Executive Committee Member Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah presided over the event.
Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote
A discussion organized by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held at the Dhaka city unit AL’s temporary office in city’s Bangabandhu Avenue. AL Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Nasim called upon the BNP leaders who are elected for taking oath and joining the parliament. “BNP will lose the last chance if they do not come to parliament by April 30. So, I urge those elected from BNP to come to parliament. Nasim said BNP leaders should join parliament to criticise the mistakes of the government instead of holding press conferences and telling lies over some baseless issues sitting at the party office. The function was also addressed, among others, by AL Advisory Council member Muzaffar Hossain Paltu, Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artiste Monoranjan Ghosal, AL leader Advocate Balaram Poddar and General Secretary of the jote Arun Sarkar Rana.
