Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal
A discussion on the occasion of the glorious Independence and National Day organised by Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal was held at the VIP Lounge of the Jatiya Press Club on Friday. In the programme the speakers said that the ruling party is hatching conspiracy to introduce one-party ruling system in the country. They demanded immediate release of BNP Chief Begum Khaleda Zia. The function was addressed, among others, by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, its Joint Secretary General Moazzem Hossain Alal, Chairman of Kalyan Party Major General (Retd) Ibrahim Birprotik and Shah Mohammad Abu Zafar. Freedom fighter Sadek Ahmed Khan presided over the function.
Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council
A discussion marking the 99th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Independence Day organised by Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council was held in the auditorium of the Institution of Diploma Engineers’ Bangladesh in the city’s Kakrail. Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently.Referring to the country’s ongoing development, the minister said Bangabandhu liberated the country through the nine-month long bloody Liberation War. “Bangladesh is now on the highway of development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to materialize Bangabandhu’s dream,” he said. Chief Adviser of the council Dr. Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir presided over the programme.
