Jago Bangladesh Garments Sramik Federation
A sit-in programme organised by Jago Bangladesh Garments Sramik Federation was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Tuesday. In the programme the leaders of the organisation demanded to open the Nab Fashion Limited located in the city’s Khilkhet. They also demanded for the payment of the arrear salaries of the employees immediately. The function was also attended, among others, by General Secretary of the federation Mohammad Mostofa, its central leader Shamim Ahmed, employees of the Nab Fashion Tofael Ahmed and Nasima Akhter. Central President of the federation Baharane Sultan Bahar presided over the event.
Bangabandhu Academy
A discussion marking the 99th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organised by Bangabandhu Academy was held at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh in the city’s Kakrail on Monday. Awami League Presidium Member Mohammed Nasim was present as the chief guest in the programme. While speaking Nasim said BNP would cease to exist if the party could not come out from their politics of election boycott. “BNP itself is responsible for the current miserable condition. If BNP continues boycotting polls over and over, one day it will be completely boycotted by the people,” he added. Acting President of the academy Sabbir Ahmed Rony presided over the event. The function was also addressed, among others, by AL Advisory Council Member Mozaffar Hossain Paltu, Dhaka City South AL GeneralSecretary Shahe Alam Murad, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua and AL leader Balaram Podder.
