Bangladesh Lekhika Sangha
The 46th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Lekhika Sangha was celebrated at Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the National Museum in the city’s Shahbagh. In the programme held on Saturday Poet Begum Razia Hosain was honoured with the lifetime honorary award on the occasion. ‘Lekhika Sangha Sahitya Award’ was given to the 2016 Ekushey Padak winner Poet Habibullah Sirajee, Bangla Academy Literary Award winner Poet Ruby Rahman and 2012 Ekushey Padak winner children litterateur Akhtar Hussain. The ‘Poet Taibun Nahar Rashid gold medal’ was presented to Professor Husne Ara Shahed, while Emily Zaman won the ‘Young Writer Honorary Award’. The function was attended, among others, by Dilara Mesbah, National Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam and novelist Selina Hossain.
