Retired Armed Forces Officers’ Welfare Association (RAOWA) and Daffodil Family signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Eagle Hall, RAOWA on Entrepreneurship Development and Career Support Programme on Saturday . Lt Col Md. Shamsul Islam, psc, Secretary General of RAOWA and Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO , Daffodil Family signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutes. Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family, Major Khandaker Nurul Afser, Chairman of RAOWA, Brig Gen Md. MahbubulAlam, ndc, psc, Senior Vice Chairman, RAOWA, Lt Col Kh. Mustafizur Rahman, Vice Chairman, RAOWA, Lt. Col A M Mosharaf Hossain, Convener of RAOWA Entrepreneurs Forum were also present on the occasion. Under this agreement entrepreneurship development support programs, entrepreneurial activities/project-works and career assistance services for the valued members of RAOWA would be ensured under Bilateral Cooperation Program between RAOWA and Skill.Jobs, a career platform of Daffodil Family & Daffodil International University (DIU). The MoU signed in accordance with the principal of bilateral cooperation program and mutual benefit, to share knowledge and to foster mutual exchange. Entrepreneurs Forum of RAOWA and Skill.Jobs of Daffodil Family and DIU have agreed to work together to develop the retired officers as entrepreneurs to cope up with the civil life and contribute to the nation and national economy even after retirement. They will also focus on creating school franchise all over the country to disseminate and ensure quality education all over the country, says a press release .

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and Automation Society , NSU Chapter organised a seminar on “Zero Robotics: International Space Station for Bangladesh recently.”For more than a decade, the International Space Station (ISS) has been providing hands-on educational opportunities that encourage students to transcend passive learning, engaging them as interactive participants. From 2000 through 2012, there have been more than 42 million students, from 44 countries involved in different STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) activities aboard the space station. Zero Robotics tournament, which is the only robot programming tournament available to students that runs inside the ISS. Mizanul H Chowdhury of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA was present as Chief Guest and Prof Jahangir Alam, former VC, Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology was present as the special guest over the seminar. Professor Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor, NSU presided over the seminar. Among others, Prof. Dr. G.U. Ahsan, Pro-VC (Designate) ,faculties, other senior officials students were also present in the seminar, says a press release.
