Left Democratic Alliance
A meeting organised by Left Democratic Alliance was held at the office of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) in the city’s Purana Palton on Tuesday. In the programme the leaders of the alliance demanded cancellation of the 11th parliamentary elections held on December 30, 2018. The speakers also demanded to hold election under impartial and non-partisan government. They called upon the conscious people of the country to continue movement to press home the demands. The function was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of CPB Ruhin Hossain Prince, leader of Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) Bazlur Rashid Firoz, General Secretary of Biplabi Workers Party Saiful Haque, leaders of BSD (Marxist) Shuvrangshu Chakravarty and Manash Nandi, Coordinator of Ganasanghati Andolon Zonaed Saki, Convenor of Samajtantrik Andolon Hamidul Haque and leader of Ganotantrik Biplabi Party Mominur Rahman. Coordinator of the alliance Mohammad Shah Alam presided over the event. The leaders called upon the countrymen to be united to establish their voting rights.
