Bangladesh Awami Sangskritik Jote
A rally organised by Bangladesh Awami Sangskritik Jote was held in front of the Jatiya Pres Cllub on Sunday. In the programme the speakers bitterly criticized Allama Shafi’s remarks on female education. The function was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of the organisation Advocate Saiful Islam Sumon, its Joint General Secretary Jamir Uddin, Organising Secretary Selina Akhter and Litterary Secretary Jahanara Jani. The speakers called upon Shafi to withdraw his statement immediately, otherwise, a social movement will be forged against him.
Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote
A discussion marking the Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote (BSJ) was held at the Jatiya Press Club. Information Minister Dr Hasam Mahmud was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Hasan said that Jatiya Oikyafront leader Dr Kamal Hossain’s demand for holding a dialogue for fresh polls is a ridiculous one. He said the jurist is now talking about ‘so-called dialogue’ to hide their election debacle. About the return of Bangabandhu from Pakistan after the country’s independent, he said the nation could not celebrate its victory completely until Bangabandhu returned home. “The nation was eagerly waiting for his return.”The programme was attended, among others, by eminent actor ATM Shamsuzzaman and General Secretary of the jote Arun Sarker Rana.
