Under the Continuing Public Health Education (CPHE) Programme of the Department of Community Medicine, a seminar on ” Bogalusa heart study” was arranged at the Ibrahim Auditorium, BUHS on Tuesday .Prof Dr. Md. Anower Hussain, Dean of the, Faculty of Public Health, BUHS, chaired the session. Dr. Azad R. Bhuiyan, Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, Jackson State University spoke on the topic “Progression of Metabolic Syndrome along with Depression Symptoms and High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein: The Bogalusa Heart Study”. All the participants of the seminar enjoyed the presentation, says a press release.
University Grants Commission of Bangladesh
A business degree is a professional degree and the students, who have enrolled in different universities, to study Business and Management must continuously sharpen their skills to keep the professional quality to meet the international standard. This was stated by Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh while speaking at the fresher’s reception ceremony of Business Administration Faculty of Chittagong University as the Chief Guest yesterday. Prof Mannan traced the history of economic development of Bangladesh, how it transformed itself an agriculture based country to a service and medium industry oriented economy. The programme was presided over by the Dean of the Faculty Dr A F M Aowrangazab while inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof Dr. Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury. Prof Dr. Shirin Akhter, Pro VC of the university, among others, spoke.
