Fed of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Assoc
Leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association (FBUTA) urged country’s people to cast their votes for Sheikh Hasina in the eleventh parliamentary election today (Sunday) for the continuation of peace and development. FBUTA, a platform of the teachers’ associations of the public universities, in a statement issued recently said, “We do not want that the continuation of peace, harmony, development and prosperity will be thwarted. So, we call upon the people to cast vote for the ‘Boat’ symbol for the sake of the continuation of pace of development.” The statement was signed by Dhaka University Teachers’ Association General Secretary Prof Shibli Rubaiyat Ul Islam on behalf of the elected leaders of the teachers’association. They also hoped that the national poll would be a peaceful one.
Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers’ Parishad
A discussion on the country’s development issues organised by Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Parishad was held in the auditorium of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) in city’s Kakrail . Social Welfare Minister and also President of Workers Party of Bangladesh Rashed Khan Menon was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. Menon said BNP and Jamaat are now one organization. “We should resist the war criminals in the 11th parliamentary election,” he added. President of the parishad Engineer Khabir Hossain presided over the event. The function was also addressed, among others, by Awami League leader Shahe Alam Murad and IDEB President Engineer MKMA Hamid.
