Bangladesh Endocrine Society
A conference on endocrinology organised by Bangladesh Endocrine Society was held at a hotel in the city. In the programme held recently the speakers said nowadays endocrine disorders are very common in the world. They expressed the society will play an active role in the field of endocrine treatment in the country. Noted five endocrinologists from different countries and eight from home presented keynote papers in the conference. About 400 endocrinologists and diabetes experts from home and abroad participated in the function. President of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh Prof Dr AK Azad Khan attended the inaugural session of the conference as the chief guest. President of the organisation Prof Dr Faruk Pathan presided over the event. The function was also attended, among others, by Prof Hajera Mahtab, Prof AR Khan, Prof Zafar Ahmed Latif, Prof Kishwar Azad, Vice-President of the society Prof Farid Uddin and its Organizing Secretary Dr Shahjada Selim.
