Dhaka University Career Club
A skill development programme for the members of Dhaka University Career Club was held at Bangladesh Shishu Academy in the city on Tuesday. DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman addressed the function as the chief guest. A website of the organisation was also launched at the ceremony. Adviser of DU Teacher-Student Center (TSC) Professor Dr Soumitra Sekhar Dey also addressed the function.
Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha
A workshop titled ‘Reviewing of SDGs Linked Policies and Programmes with Local Level Implementation Authorities’ organised by Bangladesh Nari Progati Sangha (BNPS) Netrakona unit in cooperation with Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and Oxfam in Bangladesh was held at the conference room of Netrakona Circuit House on Tuesday. In the programme the speakers underlined the need for enhancing participation of community based organisations for achieving the target of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to build a ‘hunger and poverty free Sonar Bangla’.

A total of 30 persons including officers of government and non-government organisations and journalists participated in the workshop. The function was addressed, among others, by Manager of BNPS Ali Amzad Khan, Senior Assistant Fellow of CPD Mustafa Amir Sabbih and senior Programme Officer of Oxfam in Bangladesh Mustafa Ali.
