Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee

A cultural function and prize distribution ceremony on the occasion ‘Bijaya Sammilon’ of the Durga Puja, the greatest religious festival of the Hindu Community organised by Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee will be held on the premises of Shri Shri Dhakeshwari Jatiya Mandir premises in the city at 3:30 pm on Friday. On the occasion Prime Minister’s Economic Adviser Dr. Mashiur Rahman will present as the chief guest while Secretary of the Religion Affairs Ministry Anisur Rahman as the special guest. Meanwhile, President and General Secretary of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad Milon Kanti Dutta and Nirmal Kumar Chatterjee respectively in a statement on Monday greeted countrymen on the occasion of Kalipuja and Dipabali. They also wished for the welfare of the country and nation on the occasion.

Korea-BD Alumni Association

The KOICA Alumni Night-2018 was celebrated with enthusiasm of vibrant participants by KOICA alumni at a city hotel. The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korea Bangladesh Alumni Association (KBAA) jointly oganised the programme at a city hotel recently. Minister for Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor, Country Director of KOICA, Bangladesh Joe Hyun-Gue, Secretary of Ministry of Road, Transport and Bridges Nazrul Islam, Additional Secretary (Asia Wing Chief), Economic Relations Division Zahidul Haque, among others, addressed the programme. Noor expressed his sincere appreciation for KOICA’s contribution in various sectors of Bangladesh particularly, for advancing its rich culture and heritage. Appreciating KOICA’s contribution to the different fields of development, he hoped the KOICA will extend its cooperation to supplement efforts of the government for building a “Digital Bangladesh”. President of the association Monzur Hossain in his speech encouraged the growing relationship between Korea and Bangladesh.
