Bam Ganotantrik Jote
Leaders of Bam Ganotantrik Jote including its Coordinator and General Secretary of Biplabi Workers Party Saiful Haque in a statement on Thursday bitterly criticized the police attack on the meeting of the jote at Khalishkhali in Satkhira. They also condemned arrest of the leaders and activists of the organisation from the meeting venue. The leaders called upon the party men to be united against this unwanted incident for the greater interest of the party. The leaders also warned the administration and police not to intercept the meeting of the opposition parties.
Bangladesh Bastuhara League
A discussion organized by Bangladesh Bastuhara League was held in the auditorium of the Jatiya Press Club. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Nasim said BNP will have to face the music if it wants to create violence centering on the upcoming national polls. “We want peace. We want elections. We don’t want violence and anarchy in the country. If anyone wants to create unstable situation, they will face dire consequences,” he added. Nasim said the upcoming parliamentary elections will be held as per the Constitution in a free, fair and peaceful manner and the people will elect their chosen candidates.

But, he said, BNP and their collaborator Jamaat are hatching conspiracies centering on the polls.The function was also addressed, among others, by AL Advisory Council Member Mozaffar Hossain Paltu and AL South City Unit Vice President Abu Ahmed Mannafi. President of the organisation Tofazzal Hossain Babu presided over the event.
