Jatiya Pratibandhi Foundation
A discussion organised by Karmakarta- Karamachari Kalyan Foundation of Jatiya Pratibandhi Foundation was held in the auditorium of SWID Bangladesh in the city. Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Menon said the government has taken initiatives to make entrance of buildings, including educational institutions disabled-friendly. “Many people don’t maintain the building code while they construct buildings including educational institutions. The minister said that the persons with disabilities will get benefits from such initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He said the disability does not create any bar on the way of development of a society. The minister informed that the second survey to make sure the number of the disabled people will begin soon.
The function was also addressed, among others, by Mir Showkat Ali Badsha, MP, SWID Bangladesh Secretary General Jowaherul Islam and Mirpur Autism Resource Center Senior Psychologist Jahangir Alam.
