Bangladesh Agricultural Economists Assoc
A discussion marking the National Mourning Day organised by Bangladesh Agricultural Economists Association was held in the auditorium of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council in the city’s Farmgate. Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Matia said the anti-liberation forces are out to hatch conspiracies afresh to impede the pace of development of the country. “When the country is witnessing development in every sector, the anti-liberation forces are hatching conspiracies anew to thwart the trend of development,” she added. Matia urged all to be united to resist the conspiracies of anti-liberation forces to continue the pace of development to help build a Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The function was also addressed, among others, by Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, Professor Emeritus of Bangladesh Agricultural University MA Sattar Mandal and General Secretary of the association Prof M Qamruzzaman. President of the organisation Sajjadul Hassan presided over the event.
