Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad
A human chain protesting the conspiracy of BNP-Jamaat and the perpetrators of 1/11, who are out to create anarchy in the country organised by Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad was formed in front of the Jatiya Press Club. Awami League (AL) Publicity and Publication Secretary Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest in the programme held on Monday. While speaking Hasan said BNP-Jamaat wanted to carry out ‘politics of corpses’ capitalising the non-political students’ movement, but they failed to do so. “The miscreants, who were involved in the attack on AL President’s political office, attacked on the car of the US Ambassador in Dhaka and journalists in the capital,” he added. Hasan said the tender-age students did not vandalise vehicles and they were also not involved in any sabotage. The function was also addressed, among others, by Organising Secretary of Dhaka South City Unit of AL Hedayetul Islam Swapan, Awami League leader Balaram Poddar and President of the parishad Jinnat Ali. Adviser of the parishad Zakir Ahmed presided over the event.
