Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Kendra
A 10-member delegation of Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Kendra (BNSK) led by its President Nasimaun Ara Huq made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on the first instant. During the meeting, the President was informed about different problems and discriminations of women journalists in their respective workplace. The women journalist leaders sought cooperation of the President in discharging their professional duties. Referring to the role of journalists specially women journalists to ensure the women empowerment in Bangladesh, the President called upon the newgeneration to be inspired in more women empowerment. He also asked the BNSK to take proper steps to increase the number of women journalists. General Secretary of the organisation Parveen Sultana Jhuma, Treasurer Akhter Jahan Malik and Training Secretary Farhana Milly, among others, were present.
