Bangladesh Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikya Parishad
Leaders of Bangladesh Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikya Parishad (BHBCOP) at a human chain demanded for quicker implementation of the Vested Property Return Act. Rangpur district and city units of BHBCOP jointly organised the programme in front of Rangpur Press Club seeking intervention of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for implementation of the Vested Property Return Act at the earliest. In the programme the speakers regretted that implementation of the Vested Property Return Act was being delayed for ‘unknown’ reasons despite the sincere efforts of the present pro-people government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Senior Vice-President of Rangpur district unit of BHBCOP Shushanto Bhowmik presided over the event. The function was addressed, among others, by noted cultural personality Dr Mofizul Islam Mantu, leaders of the district and city units of BHBCOP Alok Nath, Gautam Mohanta, Parul Sarker, Utpal Kumar Bhowmik and Utpal Banik.
