Bangladesh PTI Officers Association
The newly elected members of Bangladesh PTI Officers Association took over from the old association at a ceremony held recently at the office of Divisional Deputy Director of Primary Education in the city’s Mirpur. After taking over the members of the association paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing floral wreaths at his portrait in the city’s 32, Dhanmondi. The function was attended, among others, by President of the association Khondkar Dwin Mohammad, Secretary General Mohammad Selim and its Senior Vice-President Harun-or-Rashid.

President of BCS Information Association Kamrun Nahar and Secretary General Fayzul Haque on Monday expressed deep shock at the death of Former Director General (DG) of Bangladesh Film Archive and member of BCS (Information-General) Cadre Akhil Bandhu Nag. In a condolence message, they prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. Akhil breathed his last while undergoing treatment at city’s Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital on Monday at the age of 83. He left behind wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
