Garments Sramik Trade Union Kendra
A rally orgsanised by Garments Sramik Trade Union Kendra was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Friday. In the programme the speakers demanded to fix Taka 16,000 thousand as minimum salary for each garment employee. The leaders of the organisation waned to forge greater movement if their demand is not met immediately. The rally was addressed, among others, by President of Communist Party of Bangladesh Comrade Mujahidul Islam Selim, General Secretary of the organisation Joly Talukdar, its Executive President Kazi Ruhul Amin and Vice-President Ziaul Kabir Khokon. President of the organisation Advocate Mantu Ghosh presided over the function.
Sramik Karamachari Peshajibi Muktijoddha Samannya Parishad
The inauguration of ‘Janatar Ovhijathra’ to Srimangal from the Jatiya Press Club organised jointly by Sramik Karamachari Peshajibi Muktijoddha Samannya Parishad, Antorjatik Juddhaporadh Ganabichar Andolan and Muktijoddhar Sontan o Prajammno Parishad was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Thursday. The function was arranged to meet its six-point demands. Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan was present as the chief guest in the programme. While speaking Shajahan urged the pro-liberation forces to work together to move the country forward upholding the spirit of the Liberation War. “All the pro-liberation forces should be united to uproot the evil forces of fundamentalism from the country”, he added. The event was also addressed, among others, by Bangladesh Muktijoddha Central Command Council former Chairman Major (Retd) Helal Morshed Khan, Vice-Chairman Ismat Kadir Gama, freedom fighters Salauddin Ahmed, Alauddin Mian, Osman Ali and Sultan Ahmed, actress Rokeya Prachi and Sramik League leader Shahabuddin Mian.
