Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Assoc
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Md Mashiur Rahman Ranga and Khandaker Enayet Ullah were reelected as the President and Secretary General respectively of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association for two-year term. They were elected at the biennial general meeting and council session of the association held recentlt at Mahanagar Natya Manch in the city.
Sramik Karmachari Federation
A rally organised jointly by Sramik Karmachari Federation and Bangladesh Narimukti Kendra was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club. In the programme held recently the leaders of the organisations demanded ensuring of security of the expatriate female employees. They also urged the government to take necessary steps to resist repression on women. A procession was also brought out in the city to press home the demands. President of Narimukti Kendra Seema Dutta presided over the event.The function was addressed, among others, by the members of Sramik Karmachari Federation, Central Committee Raju Ahmed, Taslima Akhtar Beauty and Manash Nandi.
