Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM) distributed certificate among the volunteers of 21stInternational Convention on Students Quality Control Circles-2018 (ICSQCC at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University on Saturday. Acting VC of Daffodil International University Prof Dr. S M Mahabub-Ul Haque Majumder was present as Chief Guest at the certificate distribution ceremony. Presided over by A M M Khairul Bashar, Chairman, BSTQM the function was also addressed by Prof Dr Md Fokhray Hossain, Director, International Affairs, Syed Alimuzzaman, Secretary General, A K M Shamsul Huda, Vice President, Ms. Fatema Majib, Vice president, Mr. Sheikh Najimuddin Ahmed, Joint Secretary of BSTQM and Mrs. Zakia Sultana, Secretary , Organizing Committee of ICSQCC-2018. It may be mentioned here that based on the theme of “Quality Education for Global Peace and Sustainable Development” the 21st International Convention on Students Quality Control Circles-2018 (ICSQCC-2018) held from May 03-06, 2018 in Bangladesh at permanent campus of Daffodil International University where around 1000 participants including 500 foreign students and delegates from USA, UK, India, Srilanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Mauritius and other countries are participating in the convention.
Inter- Religion Harmony Society
Inter Religion Harmony Society with the affiliation of United Religions Initiative, USA and International Peace Youth Group arranged a discussion programme on Bangabandhu’s Dream : Establishing World’s Peace Through Inter Religion Harmon at VIP Lounge of National Press Club on Saturday. Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, MP was present as Chief Guest .The programme was presided over by Mian Muzibur Rahman, Writer, Researcher and Chairman of Inter Religion Harmony Society. The discussants were Prof. Abul Kashem Fajlul Huq, University of Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Syed Anwar Hossain, University of Dhaka, Former VC of the University of Dhaka AAMS Arefin Siddik, Shamim Md. Afzal, DG, Islamic Foundation, Sreemot Kanti Bandhu Brahmachari, President of Jagadbandhu Math, Prof. Hirendranath Biswas, President, Bangladesh Jatiyo Hindu Dharma Sonkskar Somitee, Prof. Dr. Tapan De Rozario, University of Dhaka, Ven. Buddhapriya Mahathero, Vice President, Bangladesh Buddha Kristi Prochar Sangho, Prof. Dr. Motiar Rahman, Chairman, Q.R.F, Azad Bindar Sing, Gronthi, Guru Duara Nanok Shahi, Dhaka, Dr. Md. Abdul Hye, URI Representative Bangladesh, Dr, Father Prashanto Theotonious Ribero, Paul Purohit, Saint Christiana Church, Dhaka and Sameera Daya Shekhara, Second Secretary, High Commission of Sri Lanka in Bangladesh. Mr. Shajahan Khan said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman worked for the mankind. In a speech Bangabandhu said, I am a man, I am Bangali and I am a Muslim. From this line we can say, His philosophy was non communal. Mian Muzibur Rahman said that Bangabandhu established a secular country Bangladesh from a communal state Pakistan where people were brutally tortured for their religion and language. Monoranjan Ghosal, prominent Singer of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra and General Secretary of Inter Religion Harmony Society expressed that Bangabandhu established Awami League from Awami Muslim League for all religion of Bangladesh.
