Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigoshthi, Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Bangladesh Chhatra Union jointly distributed relief materials among the flood-hit people of Kamarchak Union under Rajnagar Upazila in Moulvibazar district on Saturday last. The leaders of the organisations including General Secretary of CPB, Moulvibazar district committee Nilimesh Ghosh Bulu, its Assistant General Secretary Masuk Miah and student leader Subinoy Roy Shuvra were present during the relief distribution programme. They distributed rice, potato and other relief materials among the flood-stricken people. The leaders urged the government to take necessary steps for the rehabilitation of the flood-hit people. They also urged the government to give adequate relief materials among the flood-hit people.
Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad
A discussion on present politics organised by Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad was held at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) auditorium in the city’s Segunbagicha. Publication and Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest in the programme held recently. While speaking Hasan urged the Bangladesh Nationalist Party to take preparation for the next general election.”We want to take part in the next national elections along with BNP. If the party (BNP) will not participate in the election, they will not survive in the country’s politics,” he added. Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam and former State Minister for Home Affairs Shamsul Haq Tuku spoke as special guests. Food Minister said the next general election will be held in the country as per the constitution, adding that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lead the government during the election. The parliament will never to be dissolved at any situation, the minister added. Sub-committee Member of Awami League, Central and also Adviser of the parishad Barrister Zakir Ahmed presided over the event.
