Jahangirnagar University Journalists’Association (JUJA) on Thursday expressed deep shock at the death of Md Azizur Rahman, a former Joint Secretary of the government and father of JUJA’s former President and Chief News Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Anisur Rahman. In a condolence message, JUJA President Nur Alam Himel and its General Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun Niloy prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Bangladesh Garments Sramik Oikya Parishad
A rally organised by Bangladesh Garments Sramik Oikya Parishad was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club . In the programme held recently the leaders of the organisation demanded payment of salary and Eid bonus before Ramzan 20. Co-ordinator of the organisation and also President of Jatiya Garments Sramik Jote-Bangladesh Mahatab Uddin Shaheed presided over the event. The function was addressed, among others, by the leaders of the organisation Towhidur Rahman, Salauddinn Swapon, M Delwar Hossain, Amirul Haque Amin, Baharane Sultan Bahar and Kamrul Hasan. The leaders of the organisation also urged the authority concerned to take necessary step for ensuring congenial atmosphere at the workplaces for the garments workers specially women.
