Bangladesh, BBC Media Action – BBC’s international development charity programme, partnered with leading Technology group SSD-Tech, to bring easy English learning to the masses yesterday , says a press release. “BBC Janala” – a flagship language learning program of BBC Media Action that began in 2009, has already been widely hailed across the country as it introduced English language learning through creative interaction and convenience to all segments of the population. More than 28 million Bangladeshi citizens have already benefited from this program in just 7 years. While the program was not operational since 2016, its huge demand and immense popularity among the masses cried out for a viable alternative that would continue to spread English language learning in the country. Inspite of widespread requirement for English learning, no alternative came up in the interim years. MahbubulMatin, Chairman of SSD-TECH, stated that this via this renewed program, BBC Janala would touch the lives of many millions of Bangladeshi population at a very quick rate due to SSD Tech’s technological capability. Matin expressed strong belief that the program will continue to add value to those millions aspiring to learn the language by ensuring that BBC Janala reaches every corner of the country at a very fast pace. The agreement was signed at the corporate headquarters of SSD-Tech at Dhaka, and was attended by the leadership of both BBC Media Action and SSD-Tech, including Mr. Hasan Mehdi, CEO – SSD Techand Mr. Richard Lace, Country Head – BBC Media Action, Bangladesh.

On the occasion of the 11th founding anniversary of Jagannath University Abriti Sangsad (JnUAS), the second recitation festival was held in the central auditorium of Jagannath University (JnU) on Tuesday. Professor M Selim Bhuiyan, Acting Vice Chancellor who is also the Treasurer of JnU was present on that programme as the Chief Guest. Abdul Kuddus, President of Combined Cultural Association announced the inaugural of the ceremony. Chaired by Lubayani Rani, Managing Director of JnUAS, the introductory speech was delivered by JnUAS president Navidul Hassan. Poetry recitation, music and dance performance were held in that day-long festival.

IUBAT- International University of Business Agriculture and Technology organized a seminar on “Brain Engineering: Future Opportunity and Feasibility” at Conference Hall recently . The guest speaker S. M. Mahabub Alam, Managing Director & CEO, Massive Star Studio Ltd. & Massive Business Academy stressed that the brain is one of the most astonishing and intricate parts of the human body. The brain and the brain alone is the source of our pleasures, joys, laughter, and amusement, as well as our sorrow, pain, grief, and tears. Revolution in Brain Engineering is a result of advancement in medical science and engineering as well as the changes occurring in the society. Recent advances in brain engineering sector are CBI, BCI, IoT, AI, and Robotics and so on. The purpose of the seminar was to disseminate knowledge of BCI, CBI, Bio-net, Bio-Money, AI, Robotics etc. and to create interest among the audience to know the way to explore unlimited brain power, improve quality of life and to know the scope of research and job opportunity in the field of Brain Engineering. Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, VC, IUBAT, emphasised that brain engineering will revolutionize the world and engineers have to engaze in brain research. He thanked the speaker and participants for attending the seminar.
