Bangladesh Chemical Society
The final round of 8th Bangladesh Chemistry Olympiad organized by Bangladesh Chemical Society will be held at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm tomorrow (February 16 ) . A total of 334 participants were selected from preliminary round from 11 centers of the country will take part in the final round examination. The examination will be held in two phases, theoretical and practical. An interactive ChemShow will also be organized for the participants. In the prize -giving ceremony, Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, Minister, Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of Bangladesh will be present as the chief guest. Chairman of Islami Bank Mr. Arastoo Khan and Vice-chancellor of BUET Prof Dr Saiful Islam will be the special guests. After the prize giving ceremony, a cultural event ‘ Rosayoner Golpo’ script and planning by Dr. Md. Shakhawat Hossain Firoz will be performed by Rosayon Poribar of BUET, University of Dhaka and Jagannath University, NagorikNattagon and Singer Sumon Bappi, says a press release.

A-five member delegation from Law Commission led by its Chairman and former Chief Justice A.B.M. Khairul Haque made a courtesy call on Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh at UGC Auditorium on Monday. Justice ATM Fazle Kabir, Member, Law Commission, among others, accompanied the delegtion. Prof Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Prof Dr. Dil Afroza Begum, Prof Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain, Prof Dr. M. Shah Nowaz Ali, Members, UGC and Dr. Md. Khaled, Secretary, UGC, among others, were present.
