Bharatia Parishad
A 21-member committee of Bharatia Parishad, Kalabagan Thana unit was formed at a meeting held on February 2 last at its office in the city’s Hatirpool with the President of the committee AR Sheikh Russel in the chair. The office-bearers of the committee, among others, are: President-AR Sheikh Russel, General Secretary-Mohammad Afzal Mia, Organising Secretary-Sheikh Jamal, Law Affairs Secretary-Captain (retd) Safiul Islam and Publicity Secretary- Gani Meah. The committee was formed to make ‘House Rent Control Act’ effective.
Ganoadhikar Party
A meeting organised by Ganoadhikar Party was held at Tetuljhara in Savar with Tajmul Islam Taji in the chair. Acting General Secretary of the party Baharane Sultan Bahar was present as the chief guest whie sramik leader Antar Rahman as the special guest. In the meeting a 21-member Savar thana committee of the party was formed. The office-bearers of the committee are: Convenor-Sheikh Shawkat Hossain Liton, Joint Convenors-Tajmul Islam Taji and Syed Mohammad Ibrahim. Members are: Nasir, Sagor, Noorjaman, Masud Rana, Mohammad Mohsin, Mansur Ali and Mohammad Russel Rana. While addressing the speakers committed to establish people’s rights by eradicating present political instability.
