Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote
A discussion marking the 13th death anniversary of the former Finance Minister and Awami League leader Shah AMS Kibria organised by Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote was held at its central office in the city on Saturday. In the programme the speakers demanded declaration of the verdict in Shah AMS Kibria killing case soon and exemplary punishment for the culprits. Marking the day, the organisation placed a floral wreath at the portrait of Kibria and held a discussion at its central office. The function was addressed, among others, by Syed Hasan Imam, cine artiste ATM Shamsuzzaman, film actors Faruk and Pijush Bandyopadhyay, freedom fighter Mobarak Ali Shikder and General Secretary of the organisation Arun Sarker Rana . The speakers urged the government to bring back the culprits and masterminds behind the killing of Kibria and produce them before the court of law. Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote founder General Secretary and former MP Sarah Begum Kabari presided over the event.
