Pen Int’l Bangladesh
The meeting of the Executive Committee (EC) of Pen International Bangladesh was held at the conference room of Audit Bhaban in the city recently with Pen International Bangladesh’s Senior Vice-President and writer Masud Ahmed in the chair. In the programme annual general meeting (AGM) of the organisation was also held. In the AGM a new committee of the organisation was formed. The executive members are: Chief Advisor-Nurul Huda, President- Masud Ahmed, Executive-President Kazi Rosi MP, Vice-Presidents-Mahbubur Rahman, Ali Ahmed, Prof. Dr. Masuduzzaman, Aslam Sani, Sarker Mahbub, Shahida Beagum, Jharna Rahman, Prof. Dr. Abu Jafar, Secretary General-Dr. Syeda Ireen Zaman, Joint-Secretary Farhana Rahman, Shahed Montaz, Treasurer-Dr. S M Morshed, Deputy Treasurer-Golam Morshed Chandan, Publication Secretary-Razu Alauddin, Zahid Biplob; Organizing Secretary-Md. Shahabuddin, Shohag Siddiquee, Publicity Secretary-Saif BarkatulIah, Information Secretary-Aslam Shikder. Sumi Shikander, Circulation Secretary- Shamsuddin Hira and Tahmina Shilpi.
Save The Road
A discussion organised by Save The Road, a non-government organisation was held in the Roundtable Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city’s Segunbagicha. In the programme the speakers said that the seven point demands of the organisation including road safety will be implemented very soon if our efforts like now to be continued.
Chairman of the organisation ZM Kamrul Anam presided over the event. The function was addressed, among others, by former Senior Vice-President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Advocate Kazi M Sajwar Hossain, General Secretary of Bangladesh Sarak Paribahan Sramik Federation Osman Ali,Vice-Chairman of the organisation Dr Noorjahan Nira and Deputy Director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Doshish Bardhan.
