Save The Road
A discussion organised by Save The Road, a non-government organisation was held in the Roundtable Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city’s Segunbagicha on Thursday. In the programme the speakers said that the seven point demands of the organisation including road safety will be implemented very soon if our efforts like now to be continued. The function was addressed, among others, by former Senior Vice-President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Advocate Kazi M Sajwar Hossain, General Secretary of Bangladesh Sarak Paribahan Sramik Federation Osman Ali,Vice-Chairman of the organisation Dr Noorjahan Nira and Deputy Director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Doshish Bardhan. Chairman of the organisation ZM Kamrul Anam presided over the event.

The international conference organised by Bangladesh Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Society was held at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the city focusing on the latest innovations and breakthroughs. More than 50 liver experts from Bangladesh, India, Iran and Japan took part in the event held on the twenty sixth instant with a view to supporting stem cell translation and help scientists, researchers and industry members to stay ahead of this constantly evolving field.”The conference showcased the latest innovations and breakthroughs in stem cell research and medical applications around the world,” Secretary General of the society Dr Mamun Al-Mahtab told journalists. “The participants had an opportunity to discover the solutions to technical challenges in stem cell expansion, delivery and integration. The function can help address the risks of stem cell therapy and how to improve the quality of stem cell research,” he added. Stem-cell therapy is the use of stem cells to treat or prevent a disease or condition.
