Imarat Nirman Sramik Union Bangladesh
A discussion and cultural function on glorious Victory Day organised by Imarat Nirman Sramik Union Bangladesh was held at Khilgaon Jorapukur playgound in the city. In the programme held on Tuesday the speakers called upon all workers to be united to press home their demands. The function was addressed, among others, by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Acting Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation Wahidul Hasan Milton, General Secretary of Ganotantri Party Dr Shahadat Hossain, General Secretary of Bangladesh Trade Union Center Dr Wazedul Islam Khan and General Secretary of the Organisation Abdur Razzak. President of the organisation, Rampura thana unit Saiful Islam Khokon presided over the programme.
Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad
A discussion marking the glorious Victory Day organised by Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad was held at the Jatiya Press Club in the city. In the programme held on the nineteenth instant Awami League Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud was present as the chief guest. While speaking Hasan said BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her family members had whitened black money during her tenure as prime minister.”BNP chief Begum Khaleda Zia and her family members earned huge illegal money and properties when she was in power and they siphoned off money abroad,” he added. Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam addressed the discussion as the special guest. While speaking Qamrul urged all to remain alert against the fundamentalist , saying they are hatching conspiracy against the pro-liberation forces. The function was attended, among others, by AL South City Unit General Secretary Sahe Alam Murad, Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote General Secretary Arun Sarker Rana, President of the parishad Zinnat Ali Zinnah and its General Secretary Shahadat Hossain Toyel.
