Mahila Awami League
A discussion marking the glorious Victory Day organised by Mahila Awami League was held at the Jatiya Press Club auditorium in the city. In the programme held on the twelfth instant Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury was present as the chief guest. While speaking Matia said Awami League will win in the next general elections due to farsighted leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.Matia said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for the betterment of women. She urged the women to keep up their role so that the AL can win in the next general elections. Matia, also AL Presidium Member, said the next parliament elections will be held as per the constitution. The function was also addressed, among others, by AL Advisory Council Member Advocate Sahara Khatun, Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, Women Affairs Secretary Fazilatunnessa Indira and General Secretary of Mahila AL Mahmuda Begum. President of the organisation Safia Khatun presided over the event.
